Oscar Crawford Media and the Lady in the Spotlight present
the 12 Pearls of Christmas
Not all pearls come from the salt waters off gulf coasts.
~Magi Aata
I met today’s Pearl at a late 90’s Juneteenth Festival,
Franklin Park in Columbus, Ohio. Joylynn was making herself and her work known amongst the sounds of celebration
and the aromas of outdoor grilled foods.
The revelation of her soul beauty, creativity and engaging intellect
prompted me stop to meet her and listen to her heart talk.
Her available works at the time included, “Please Tell Me If the Grass is Greener”
and “World on My Shoulders”. Later a blessedselling author, her further
titles include, “Been There Prayed That”,
“the Root of All Evil”, “When Souls Mate”, “If I Ruled the World”, “She
Who Finds a Husband”, and “Trying to
Stay Saved”.
Joylynn would be the lead presenter for the Columbus Black
Writers Conference teaching participants and attendees the details of self –
publishing. Her direction led to my
work, now in the Library of Congress, “The
Monday Morning Word 2000”.
Joylynn is the founder and promoter of the holiday, “Be Who
You Want Your Kids to Be Day.” She says
if she could encourage authors to do one thing; it would be to begin generating
a fan base once the first chapter is completed.
Serve appetizers by email, text, tweet, and Facebook excerpts, quotes
and lines. This is priceless.
Joylynn is a successful Pearl who takes being Christian
woman, wife, mother and author seriously.
